Type One Diabetes.
One of the more common medical conditions that affect us on a global scale is Diabetes Mellitus.
This is usually just referred to as Diabetes this is thereafter categorised into type 1 & 2.
A diabetic condition is apparent where by an individual has high blood sugar or glucose content,
And there are generally two reasons for this, the body is a complex being and faults do occur, within our internal organs we have the pancreas which produces insulin this allows the body to absorb glucose which in turn is converted into energy allowing us to function in a normal and energetic manner.
If this glucose is not absorbed by our system it begins to accumulate in the blood stream which can lead to numerous other complaints and conditions.
Type One Diabetes.
This occurs when there is a deterioration of the insulin producing cells within the pancreas, this leads to an increase in the blood sugar levels.
Symptoms could include excessive thirst, excessive urinating, increased hunger and weight loss.
This condition can be fatal if not diagnosed and treated accordingly, the most common or current method of treatment is by daily insulin injections and would be required to be administered throughout the patients natural life.
Type One Diabetes
Care can vary and an element of experimentation and patient education would be required.
Once the condition has been identified and required treatments determined there is no reason why sufferers can’t lead a very normal life with merely slight adaptations to their dietary intake.
